The Montessori model does not just “embrace” ideal learning environments and methods of instruction… Montessori INVENTED these things. Her ideas are copied piecemeal in classrooms across the country, but without proper attribution…and without an understanding that the ideas have been removed from a set of interdisciplinary principles or materials that work together to create an optimal setting for mental health, physical growth/coordination, creativity, and intellectual curiosity.

Second part, if the kid is doing something wrong the teacher must let him cause he will get it one way another, if he claims for help whe will help him if he doesnt then the teacher could later on the day or the nex day give a little explanation to all the kids about how it works without telling them they do not know how to use it. this method doesnt have a hurry to lear, it leaves students to do it in their path.
Well you should read a book about it cause it is not that easy to do since we are used to another method. tHIS METHOD is very efective. It is efective because of the instruments that kids use help a lot, these kids from montessori do not have a classroom with chairs and all that, they have a home, couches, chairs, they can go freely aroud the room choosing cubes or whatever they want. The teacher never interfire with the kid she just observes, is the kid is doidng something wrong she must
I would like to really apply it but the question here is How? How do you start the montessori method? How can you intruduce this method to 3 – 6 year olds? how could you teach the children on how to use the montessori materials? how how how????? Hope someone out there reads and answer these questions…. Thanks!
